The agreement that governs your account and your use of Athena

Please read these Terms carefully before using the Athena platform. They form a legally binding agreement between you and Artemis Ltd.
By creating an account or using Athena (the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use, our Privacy Policy, AML & KYC Policy, Risk Disclosure Statement, and any additional policies published by Athena.
Athena is operated by Artemis Ltd.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Platform.
Athena may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
To use Athena, you must:
You are responsible for all activity conducted through your account.
Athena reserves the right to restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Athena provides digital asset services including:
Services may be modified, restricted, suspended, or discontinued at any time.
Athena operates custodial wallet infrastructure.
Digital assets deposited into Athena are held in wallets controlled by Athena on behalf of users.
Users do not directly control private keys associated with custodial wallets provided through the Platform.
Internal transfers between Athena accounts are final once completed and cannot be reversed by Athena.
Athena may place temporary holds or restrictions on accounts where required for fraud prevention, legal requests, security investigations, or regulatory compliance.
Cryptocurrency deposits into Athena are free.
Deposits may appear as pending until the required blockchain confirmations have been received.
Users are responsible for ensuring deposits are sent to the correct wallet address using a supported blockchain network.
Cashout requests may be subject to review before processing.

Processing times are estimates only and are not guaranteed.
Athena reserves the right to review, delay, reject, or suspend cashout requests where necessary for security, compliance, fraud prevention, or legal reasons.

All applicable fees are displayed before transaction confirmation.
Athena reserves the right to update fees at any time.
Certain services available through Athena may rely on third-party providers.
Athena is not responsible for interruptions, delays, outages, or failures caused by third-party systems, telecommunications providers, blockchain networks, or external infrastructure beyond Athena's reasonable control.
You may not use Athena for:
Athena reserves the right to investigate suspicious activity and cooperate with lawful requests from courts, regulators, and law enforcement authorities.
Athena may restrict, suspend, freeze, or terminate accounts where necessary to:
Athena may require additional information before restoring access to restricted accounts.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Athena and Artemis Ltd shall not be liable for losses arising from:
Athena's total liability shall not exceed the fees paid by the affected user during the six months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Athena may temporarily suspend or limit access to services for maintenance, upgrades, security incidents, compliance reviews, or emergency situations.
Continuous availability of the Platform is not guaranteed.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Any dispute arising from the use of Athena shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Lagos State, Nigeria.
